It has been so long since i last wrote in this little space of mine... oh how much i've miss this.. writing watever i have in my mind so freely.. i have so much to share.. so many things have happened for the past few months.. both good stuff and bad.... making me wonder.. why the extremes?? anyway... i'm not gonna dwell on things i have no answers to... as usual to live up to my way of life.. i shall just live as the moment takes place... nothing more nothing less.. just enjoy the pace of life as it sets to be.. "Live for the Moment" as some would say (:

Good news is that i'm happy to be able to spend my days here in Japan with a special someone.. a good fren that has always been the most trustworthy person i've known since my first day in Japan. He has always been someone that I have a good laugh with, someone i can open up my inner most feelings to, and never having to hide my fear nor act tough (which i hate most of all)... who doesn't mind my silliness despite being 29 and never judge me for my actions and words said. Thank you.

Bad news is that.... i had twice the episode of blackouts and that didn't turn out as small and petty as i wanted it to be.. this year just end of november, i encountered another one and this time, shit just got serious and i went through the whole MRI scan, blood test, and watsoever not that you just saw on tv and never imagined it upon yourself. The whole ordeal is not over yet but i am hoping for the best. For all its worth, i am feeling a lil downer lately but positive. I know i sometimes crack jokes over it to keep things at bay and myself in sanity. LOL.

Honestly, i find this quite humorous.. no? u don't think so.. i mean.. the farnie part of all.. what are the odds this happened to me? it's like striking the lottery.. just that the first prize is not as fun as a million dollars.. ROFL... anyway.. more bout that later when i got more news on the test results.. right now.. nothing much more can be said or done..

So.... i'm finally back to my personal blog space... To be honest... i was not as busy as you thought i was... since i've not updated this space for sooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo longgggggggggggggggg!!!

Yes.. i've been busy... cos it's summer.. and i've been busy going out... kekekeke.. AND... yesh.. i have been a traitor to this web space cos i have been dedicating my time to write for the other 'work' blog space instead... more news on that in a later post.. but if you are curious.. please do check out my other new blog that is made for the city website... i was asked if i can write about my life and experiences living in Sapporo and i said YES!! right now.. my other 'work' blog is linked to the city website... Okay.. back to my twin... now.. i'm sorry she has been hiding behind close curtains and doors for so long.. she's a bit shy... and yes.. we do usually pull the switcheroo at times.. whenever i'm too tired to attend classes or feeling a tad anti-social.. my twin will go in my place and vice versa...

Okay.. that was an outrageous lie i made up in less than 2 minutes... i was so bored that i rather make up stories about my twin cos it sounded more interesting as compared to saying that i got bored at 4.57am in the wee morning and decided to create my own twin so i can have someone to get bored with... wtf...

Anyway.. I have yet to give my 'twin' a name... so help me there if you have any brilliant suggestion.. Tah came up with Regina Phalange cos i told him that my twin is my alter ego.. and the name Regina Phalange was the first name that popped onto his head cos she's Phoebe's (from the series Friends) alter ego name...

Other more popular alter ego names include Beyonce's Sasha Fierce.. but i dun want it that way... i dun see my twin being someone like that... so macam mana?!!

Cracking my head naming my twin... so i went online and tried out some 'alter ego name generator'... LOL... Seriously!! there are such websites out there.... Hahahahaha... random stuff one can find online.. *shakes head*

So... the first web application called Quizfarm said my alter ego name was 'Brooke'... i tot it was a bit meh cos there's no last name to it and the name Brooke is so normal and common that it doesn't sound bit alter-egoish at all...

So... i tot i'll try another site then.. and click the second link on the google search result.. that led me to Quizopolis

This time.. i have gotten myself an even funkier alter ego name.. (dun mind the redundancy made earlier.. it was on purpose... BoO!)

Quizopolis decided to alter-ego named me 'Junk in the Trunk Janiqua'..... MUAHAHAHHAHHAHAHA.......... LMFAO!!!!

Anyway... so i tot the first name Brooke was too plain and bland for an alter ego name.. and 'Junk in the Trunk Janiqua' was just too much... hahahaha.. still can't stop laughing at this.... BUT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

How about Brooke Janiqua??!! Sounds good? No? I dunno? I absolutely love it!!!! it has a very nice ring to it... hehehehe... But to be honest... i am still stepping a brake on this one as much as i love it.. cos i am still contemplating using this name.. i love both the names joined together.... but i wasn't too happy with the abbreviation though... i mean.. ermmm... BJ?! *cough cough* so macam mana??!!

I chanced upon these videos from lookbook.nu a couple of days back.. and i have to say.. i was so impressed by it that even i was at the nick 'minute' in running VERY late for my appointment... i was still trying to 'reshare' it on my facebook page.. hahaha.. that was how good these videos made me feel...

I guess every one of us has a part in us that we just want to do what these guys did...

i know i did and still do...

hence, with my new life in Japan.. this has definitely some how made this part of me comes true... I was blessed with great opportunities to travel even before i moved my life to Japan.. thanks a lot to great work opportunities that came my way.. let's see... my first oversee trip was to Greece... then followed by Thailand, Indonesia, Philippines, Singapore, Switzerland, UK, Hong Kong, Japan, Spain, France, Belgium, Netherlands, Czech Republic, Italy and I am sure there's more traveling to come since I've made my "Project Before40"... hehehe.. click HERE if you have not read it yet!

i stopped short the other day of doing nothing... yes.. the irony of the first statement i made... but tht's just me.... please dun be bothered by my randomness... i was fiddling with some moosic online and browsing new CDs to buy... at late, i think i'm spending way too much on moosic that i can declare myself going broke supporting the music industry... lol.. i don't think i can ever live without moosic.. it's like blood running in my veins... to keep me alive n breathing in every single day.. to just survive... moosic is definitely what allows me to see things at a different angle.. where dreams are the reality and reality does not exist... at least the ugly part of life.. hehe (:

Random Junk I Bought- Diet Pants/ Spanx

Yup.. u read it right... this is a super random post cos i am bored to my wits and i cannot bring myself to write anything interesting... and this pants has been sitting on my study table for the past few days cos i dun want to wear them without writing about them yet.. so NAH!! here is the write up on this super random product...

was just roaming around Donkey Hotte ドンキホテ at Tanokikoji the other day.. and was randomly picking up 'rubbish' that caught my interest when i saw this hanging on the rack where i was checking out some cute socks... without hesitation.. grab it off the shelf and place them into the basket.... YES.. it's so obvious my point of purchase was triggered by the word 'Diet' written so largely on the top.. lol.. i like to amuse myself sometimes..

I've yet to try them on yet but i doubt it is gonna do wonders to my ass.. but let's just see... i just like the idea of trying out all the farnie farnie stuff u can find in Japan..

Anyway, the label said it can locks in moisture as well as keeps it odor free.. i am not sure how that's gonna happen.. but the texture of the clothes is very comfortable from what i feel of it.. in fact, it looks and feels more expensive than what i have to pay for..

Yes... unfortunately, i fall under size L... sigh.. maybe this pants will bring me to size M *hopeful*

Well... will try it on soon enough and write what i think of it after this... anyway.. if it doesn't work well.. i gained myself a very cheap and comfortable pair of inner tights to wear under dresses and short skirts.. that way works fine by me as well.. hahaha.... smart not? *tap index finger onto right temple*

UPdate: My gf just confirmed to me that Spanx doesn't makes u lose weight.. it just help shape ur body to appear slightly smaller than it originally is... so there u have it,.. this spanx will just become my inner tights from now as well as a tool to con innocent men out there to think i have got a smaller ass.. WTF!!

I came across this video some time back and upon watching it, i started following them on Twitter @WeAreSBNN

It touched me for awhile there and after that, i sort of let it slipped away from my mind after being ambushed by so many other stuff in my head and life.. Just so happen once again, i was watching the same video again and thought to myself that if i really to support of this cause.. i should act on it.. i may not be holding placards shouting in the street of Sapporo.. I may not be signing petition or lobbying for new constitution towards gay rights in front of the parliament.. BUT I am definitely playing my role here in my personal blog to share this great message to you all out there.. if you LIKE it as much as I do, help spread the message across... i believe no matter how small an effort each one of us took.. we will definitely make a change...here, i want to highlight this great campaign and cause that i find very meaningful and should be shared to others..

The man behind this great idea is Avan Jogia who wishes for straight young men to help voice out their support and present a non discriminative act towards men who like men... Project "Before40"

just on one fine summer day of July, as usual Millfross and i was chatting aimlessly over nothing in particular.. she suddenly drop down a tone much more serious than usual and typed this

"Pheng.. where do you see urself when you're 40?"

AND WITH THAT... Project "Before40" is launched.. (:

What exactly is Project Before40, well it is relatively straight to the point.. it's a compilation of a list of 'to-do' that i/ we wanna fulfill right before we turn 40 (not that i find 40 is the limit of doing anything... in fact, on the contrary.. instead.. i think we could do so much more when we're 50/ 60/70 that i want to put aside completing the current list of 'easier' to manage task at the next 10 years term.. so i can plan and execute more 'to-dos' for my following 10 years and so on..

honestly.. i'm pretty excited already and have a few stuff off my head right now.. some of it.. might be too petty to be consider a project based item.. however, u must understand that this is something of a personal preference and achievement that external people might not get it.. in other words... i just wanna say.. i dun eff-ing give a damn so shaddup and feel free to do ur list! (:

Now, let's go through the list that i have in mind at the moment (listed in non apparent order)

I. Obtain a PADI diving license

II. Try my hands on White River Rafting

III. Travel to: India, Abu Dhabi, Lebanon, Romania, North and East Europe, New Zealand, USA and Australia

IV. Get a tattoo

V. Exercise every week

VI. Drink a minimum of 2 liter of H2O every day

VII. Get additional Ear Piercing

VIII. Learn to Play Mahjong

VIIII. Fly/ Sky Diving

X. Bungee Jumping

XI. Get my own pad to call home sweet home after all the adventures (:

Japanese Beauty Products Try-Out for the Month of June~~

I got bored so i decided to post some of the beauty products i've been trying on lately.. and mind you.. these are some of the stuff i really like using them alot.. cos they yield results!! (at least for me la).. so here goes:

SK-II: Facial Treatment Clear Lotion and Miracle Water

i think it helps keep my facial condition at an acceptable stage because i really have been suffering from lack of sleep and i presumed my face could have been worse if not for these 2 bottles

SK-II: Skin Signature Cream

Actually, the one that reaps result for me is the red tub on the left.. been complimented i dun looked my age for the past few weeks.. and everybody seems to guess i'm 4 years younger than my actual age.. so.. TRUE to what the product claimed it can do... `Clinically proven to help you look up to four years younger in just one month.' LOL...

K-Palette 1 Day Tattoo in Black (eyeliner)

Dun be intimidated with the word tattoo.. cos as eyeliner.. it works pretty good cos it's long lasting

I especially like the sharp point.. i still use my MAC pot eye liner along with this point tip brush to fill in the watsoever gap in between where i fail to get coverage from using MAC.. it works wonder!

Sephora Super Nourishing Lip Balm

this lip balm just works so- so for me.. i mean it's good and all but I'm spoilt by using Vaseline off the jar cos nothing can beat Vaseline in its original form.. do u not agree? (: anyway, what i do love bout this lip balm is the lip stick steep shape of its tip.. easy glide and elegant looking.. Lovin it still

John Frieda Frizz- Ease Heat Defeat Hair Spray

this works wonder on my hair cos it leaves a protective layer to avoid further heat damage to my hair when i blow dry them.. got this in Sephora Paris but spilt more than half a bottle in Prague.. FML

Lucido-L Designing Aqua Hair Blow Lotion (Natural Straight)

Swapped to using this and i can tell you... it works EVEN BETTER!!! (*dun mind the redundancy cos i do mean it that way.. hehehehe)

Pore Rubber Facial Scrub

recommended by BeautyQQ so i when hunting for it and finally found it in a store in Odori.. using it everyday ever since and i think my pores do seem cleaner these days with lesser visibility of white heads (:

Rolling in the Deep- Adele vs Mike Tompkins

This definitely won the spot for my 'Song of the Month'.... i super duper triple quadruple hearts it to the MAX!!!

Honestly.. i heard it a couple of times before but it didn't really caught my attention until i heard Mike Tompkins's version.... but honestly speaking... after listening to Adele's version again.. it's pretty awesome too.. i guess sometimes.. when it comes to music.. u dun really listen to it but u need to feel it instead.. so it wasn't all about which of these 2 a better singer or not.. in fact.. both of them did different covers for this song and i can't really choose... both is just SUPERB to me (:

Adele's version was really INTO it... i can feel the pain, anger, bitterness, betrayal, vengeance and love.... (can so relate to it lor..)

Mike's version is super COOL.. of course with his amazing talent of making beatbox moosic made it even more admirable... he caught me with my jaw down.... i am so in awe by him.. i never tot someone can actually make beatbox looks cool.. i totally get why Perez Hilton quoted him as 'Pretty on the Eyes and Ears'... hehehehe... the first sight of him in the 'Rolling in the Deep' video made me blush as well... *face flushing red from embarrassment*

Not to mention my first video of him was just last year.. doing rendition of another one of my favorite song, `Teenage Dream & Just the Way You Are'.... previous post here ...heheheh... i feel like a young girl having her first crush all over again.. kekekeke..

よさこいソラン Yosakoi Soran Festival 2011, Sapporo

Yosakoi Soran took place last weekend.. it's truly a very much celebrated event that is held annually in Sapporo this time of the year in early June..

Taken off the wikipedia:

Yosakoi (よさこい) is a unique style of dance that originated in Japan. Yosakoi started in the city of Kōchi in 1954, as a modern rendition of Awa Odori, a traditional summer dance. Yosakoi-style dancing has spread throughout much of Japan. The style of dance is highly energetic, combining traditional Japanese dance movements with modern music. The choreographed dances are often performed by large teams. Along with a number of professional yosakoi schools and town dance teams, yosakoi is also a popular event during the sports festivals held by Japanese elementary, junior, and senior high schools. Yosakoi participants include men and women of almost all ages – sometimes within a single team. In the dialect of Tosa province (modern-dayKōchi Prefecture), "yosakoi" means "Come at night."

Anyway... Hokkaido University @ Hokudai (北大）has been a faithful participant every year.. and basically they are the crowd pleaser/ teaser.... i'll show you why in the video below.. they are famous for pulling this dance stunt Every-Single-Year!!! No kidding!! muahahahaa...

But if u like to see how this year's dance choreography was.. kindly watch the whole thing.. though they are not entirely organised as compared to the other teams in the competition but, my school is known to give out the best spirit of all!! (:

I personally also caught some actions in video... HAHAHAHAHA...

Check out their cute running butts!! hahahaha... all in all.. i was blushing the whole time watching them run and *ahem* even took out my phone to video cam the entire scene.. LOL.. in my defense.. it was all in the name of sharing my experience in Japan with my frens back home.. *cough cough*

Anyway.. i am gonna end this entry with the top winning team for this year.. they were really good and i like the authenticity of the dance they brought to this festival (:

Very well coordinated steps and timing... and i especially love their stunts from 4:09 onwards.. Amazing!! (:

the team below got second place but honestly.. it was a close fight cos i super hearts this team's performance too.. they are just so DARN COOL!! i love the umbrella stunts.. super cool.. i can feel ninja and assassins theme.. lol.. suspense and killing mode.. LOL

Next is one of my favorite team of this year... the Coca- Cola & Sapporo International University... these almost all-girls team were amazing.. check it out yourself!!

Okay.. enough videos.. so many more i wanna share but enough for now la.. i really had a great time both last year and this year's Yosakoi Soran festival.. next year shall be my 3rd and final year to catch this festival again... *mixed feelings*

The Junkie in Me~~

One can never imagine the stuff i put into my mouth on a daily basis just to keep my body and skin healthy... I was never a 'junkie' until i arrived in Japan last year... ask anybody back home in KL... i won't take even a single capsule of vitamin C to rid off my sinus problem.. i rather waste money on tissue papers and spend my morning sniffling away.. this is how i was never a fan of drugs of any sort.. recreational or not!!

However, i guessed when i was relocated to Japan... things changed... there's no longer the comfort of dear family members taking care of you when you get sick... imagine lying dead in bed and NO ONE to holler to get u a glass of water to quench the dry lump in ur throat.. NO ONE to cook you a warm felt chicken soup for the soul.. NO ONE to even test the temperature of your forehead with the back of their hand and DEFINITELY NO ONE to remind you it's time to take your medicines... so sad kan?!! that was me last year!! i could almost cry (i think i did *shame*) and wanting to go home there and then... it was pathetic and being sick was no help to that devastating state of mind.. seriously..

Since then, i started reading up good health supplements that i should be feeding my body with.. to 'ultraman' those bad bacteria and viruses away!!

I started off with Welcia Multivitamins E, C, B2

I took this bottle as recommended by the pharmacist over the counter and i didn't even hesitate to buy it cos i absolutely NEED the Vitamin C and WANT the Vitamin E...

Am not going to discuss bout Vitamin C cos as everybody knows it.. Vitamin C is good for health and especially works well for my sinus problem.. and this tablet includes 1000mg of it which i find very ideal (:

As for the Vitamin E... what's more??!! Vitamin E is greatly known for it's benefits towards beautiful skin and antioxidant function.. I also googled up other benefits of Vitamin E and these are what i found out off the internet:

anyway... so yeah.. back to that... i was looking at new diet stuff at the store one day when my gf pointed out to me 'L- Carnitine' and she told me that all the celebrities back in the Pinoy island likes to take that as supplement to weight loss... WOot Woot!! Jackpot!!... cos i was really sick of trying other stuff like green tea and etc etc.. and the pharmacist there was like recommending me to take food replacement meal instead like yucky milk shake and all... Boo!! i dun really like having my meals replaced.. and seriously.. the joy of food is what keeping me alive (and fat) inside okay.. i might not be slim and scrawny thin but i know that i dun look all that bad either.. so HELL NO to me quitting on food!!..

Took the wrong dosage all these months.. a waste of effort and money seriously.. sigh

Before: 1 day 4 capsules (i tot i was taking 2000mg but actually i got misled to thinking 1 pill was 500mg but in actual fact, it was 3 capsules that give 500mg... WTF.. waste my time consuming the wrong dosage all this while.. BOO!!)

Now:1 day: 12 capsules (2000mg is recommended to see effective result in weight loss)

Sounds healthy enough rite?!! That's what i like about this product.. it was NOT purposely meant to help to lose weight.. it was actually to assist putting ur unwanted fat in ur body to use and burn them to provide ur body with the necessary energy (: something like recycling ur fat from being useless substance and convert them to being something useful instead.. i totally like this concept and idea alot.. hehehe

But because i didn't get to read up on the benefits of chitosan.. so i dare not spend so much over something i dun have info on.. so i just ran over to the DHC corner and grab a small packet from there instead.. i think DHC label is pretty good to test new things out cos it's super affordable and the brand is reliable and credible. (:

So with that, this is how my pills all looked like..

Last week i had encountered the most FUN and also the most TIRING week in my entire life to date.... i participated in the Hokudaisai (Hokkaido University Food Festival) that takes place this time every year... this is my second time i attended this event and as before, i had so much fun at this 4 days event!! (:

I am not going to blog about the back end production of the food stall i am helping in at this entry and will leave that for the next post when i feel like it la.. lol..

Anyway, back to the event... OMG!! i really admire the Japanese spirits!! They are so fun and semangat giler... most of them will be in cosplay to spice up the event and also they are doing this not for the money/ profit of their food stalls BUT for the fun of life!! *admires* (:

Was having a fantabulous time catching up on some Gossip Girl session with the other 2 ladies earlier.. and as usual.. we planted our spoilt asses at Starbucks Stellar East Place.. hehehe.. it has been awhile and a splendid choice of meeting spot cos moi has been craving for their Soy Strawberries and Creme Frappuccino since forever and ever!! (:

WEIRD!! almost every seat in the store was catered for couples only.. pairing 2 chairs to a small coffee table.. hence, we opted to sit outside at the porch area instead.. instantly bringing back memories on how i used to hang out at Starbucks PBD with drama queen, moose, jujubes and tutulee... missing the good old days terribly.. sigh..

Anyway.... soon enough.. each departing in our own separate ways.. notedly, how each good time must comes to an end... sigh.. that's what we all known it as life's vicious cycle...

While riding my bike back, i accidentally fell off the curb!!! How unlady-like of moi!!! *GASP*HORROR* and unfortunately scraped my knees and ruined my absolutely good pair of Marks & Spencer tights!!! BAH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Lil Distractions + Silly Things to Keep the Stress Away~~

For the past 2 weeks, it has been a lil challenging for me.. I've got a tight deadline and a very lost moi in terms of my research paper. I sort of got strayed off track and that was totally frustrating.. but i'm glad i handle stress pretty well this time round and decided to channel all the bad negative energy into something more fun and silly.. it helps keep the stress level at bay and bringing out the more positive me.. and as they say.. a positive person can make things happen... and true enough.. i managed to collect myself together and enjoyed the process along the way in overcoming this small hiccup of my research work. However, this is just the beginning and i foresee many more possible 'hiccups' to come along the way... but tht's just life ain't it?? hehehe :p

Honestly speaking, throughout my adulthood, I have never dealt with stress the way i did this time round. Anybody who has worked with me or are close family and frens would have known that when it comes to work.. I'm all about being:

REAL Serious
OVERLY Demanding
EXCEPTIONALLY High Expectation
Accept NO FAILURE and
A Total BIATCH!!

But I'm so totally over that phase in life where i'm too focus on winning and not enjoying the ride..

A recent conversation with a dear fren told me that she never really gets me last time.. which led to me being labeled as 'Misunderstood'... and we (or rather I) spent a good whole hour laughing at this... i told her i totally/ absolutely/ delighted to get this super duper cool label... i mean.. this adjective usually fits the very cool people.. cos ONLY COOL people get misunderstood.. hehehe.. i am truly enjoying my new label... YAY!!

Anyway.. back to topic.. so yeah.. basically, I am just gonna sum up the silly stuff and lil distractions that i've been doing while dealing with stress wit lots of accompanying pics.. (:

Firstly, COOKING (: Good for the mind and the soul.. and of course the tummy too.. hehehe

To date, a few of my sort of successful attempts were Chicken Parmigiana, Spaghetti Carbonara, Chicken Liver Pate, ABC Soup, Chicken Mushroom Broth and White Fungus Quail Eggs Tong Sui (: Mind you.. this is coming from a person that DOES NOT know how to cook before coming to Japan!!! I repeat DOES NOT know how to cook... so YAY!!!

Next, PAINT YOUR NAILS!! Nothing is as fun as random bold nail colors and designs.. (:

One night while got stuck in between writing the paper.. i decided to put on facial mask at 3am in the morning to take a break off work. While 'masking', I suddenly had this urge to set up the accessories board there and then!! Talk about being absolutely random!! LOL

Fifthly, AMUSE YOURSELF CRAZY!! It works!! (:

So.... I have been embarking onto the health and beauty journey that at recent, i actually protect my body from all sort of possible harms. My DIY Serum Inspired by BeautyQQ~~

One word to describe her: AMAZING~~ (:

Anyway, just the other day, i chanced upon her recipe in making face serum DIY style.. I am in the mood to try new things lately and i guess having a little fun in the name of beauty is absolutely a great way to fill my break time in between writing my papers.. heheheh (: And of course, a facial serum that cost less than USD1??!!! where to find wor?!! hheehhee...

Anyway, the recipe to your skin's elixir of life/ fountain of youth as revealed here... (okay la.. i tipu cos i followed her recipe step by step as shown online.. )

Firstly, the ingredients:

Shirokikurage (White Fungus/ Snow Fungus/ Tremella Fuciformis/ Silver Ear)- i bought the pre packed 20g from Jusco cos i dunno where to find herbal shop in Sapporo ¥210
Empty bottles - i got mine in the drugstore section in Jusco ¥100
Facial mask- a pack of 10 for ¥100
Coffee filter- ¥100
Sieve and bowl- i'm sure ur kitchen should have these items..

The major ingredients: (clock wise from top left): shirokikurage, coffee filter, facial mask, bottles and containers

DO you all know tht shirokikurage also known as 'Poor Man's Bird Nest'!!! HAHAHAA.. i find that very farnie.. but true to it's alternative nickname, it is called that cos it has all the wonderful nutrition of a bird's nest at just at a small fraction of it's premium sister's price!!! YAY!!

Shirokikurage or also known as White Fungus

So, let's begin...

Place the shirokikurage into a bowl of clean water. The purpose to do so is to soften the crispy hard fungus. Make sure you soak them until the water is clear. This process should take you about 30 mins or so. In between soaking, give your shirokikurage a good squeeze so that the impurities can come oozing out.

Soak this babies for 30 mins or so

Next, put a pot of water into boil. Place your shirokikurage into the pot of hot water and bring it to boil. Estimate the water portion to just cover the top part of shirokikurage nicely. Just right when it started to boil, lower the fire to low heat and simmer it for 1 hour.

Simmering up...

Now go do whatever you want during the 1 hour wait... i went back to writing my presentation paper in which i scored very well last Friday.. YAY!! (:

Having fun playing with DIY stuff is kind of therapeutic for me... hehehhe.. *Ommmm...Ommm..*

TICK TOCK TICK TOCK.... After 1 hour.....

Your kitchen should smell of Oh-So-Sweet from the simmering pot of beauty benefits..... yummilicious.. i so wanna eat/ drink it then!! I couldn't really believe it cos i added nothing but just the white fungus and water and leave it to simmer.. how can it smell so good and yummy??!!

Your pot of water will turn into a slightly thicker texture in comparison to before.. Apparently, we suppose to achieve a gooey liquid texture but i didn't get that end results anyway... and so i think it doesn't matter, maybe i didn't put enough ration of water and shirokikurage to get that same liquid texture. *Mental note: put lesser water next time...*

Okay, ladle up the liquid and sieve it to a bowl. Let it cool down for a lil while.

This time, take a sheet of your coffee filter and prep it up. We're gonna pour the liquid through the coffee filter to further filter the liquid as thin out as possible. This is to make sure, we manage to sieve all the remaining of the fungus as much as possible.

My choice of coffee filter and i dun even have drip coffee machine at home.. LOL

By this time... Your DIY serum is DONE!!! (:

Just take out your pre- bought cosmetic bottles (please sterilize them to make sure it's clean) earlier and FILL THEM UP!

YAY!! these babies are Ready!!

Your new DIY serum can last you for a week if you store them in the refrigerator. I know it's quite a short span of time, but this is advised by Queenie because since these is no preservatives in this DIY serum unlike the commercial beauty products off the retail shelves.. hence, 1 week should be good.

Lastly, you can use the DIY serum to do facial mask (I did it for a couple of times already and it feels really good with the chilly serum on ur face)... hehehe.. I bought the facial mask tablets and soak them up with this serum and leave it on my face for approximately 15-20 minutes. You can even use them as eye mask and lips serum. (: They work wonders on these part of the face as well.

So i hope by constantly using it, in long term, I will achieve the smooth, clear and bright whiten skin i want so so so so so badly!!!!! *fingers crossed*

I mean, eventhough i focus on getting great skin with this, as long as i'm consuming and using it, it will draws the other health benefits to moi also wat.. so win-win situation la..

I love looking at beautifully crafted photographs.. unfortunately.. i dun think I am talented enuf to be a photographer but looking and admiring beautifully crafted pics is a FREE talent... and I am just contented enough by admiring pictures taken by other's... hehehe..

Talking bout that.. this is where i've learned about Instagram (an app that is created for Iphone users and it's amazing!!)... one can take any creative/ not-so-creative (like moi's) pictures and you can choose the many filters available in this application and transform your pics to this super gorgeous and artsy photos... honestly.. any TDH could have done this with their eyes blindfolded.. :D this is exactly where moi comes into the picture.. hehehe... geddit? geddit?? moi in the picture... (okay... lame joke max.. BOO!)

Tokyo: Fun Stuff on Google Ads Campaign~~

Last year.. i had the opportunity to travel down to Tokyo to celebrate my first ever Christmas in Japan..

It was an absolutely amazing trip and i super loved it... I rated it 3G!!!... which by the way does not stands for '3rd Generation' but the 3 Greats:

GREAT Company, GREAT Sights and GREAT Fun :D

Of course it was also super tiring cos me and a bunch of us decided to go BUDGET and that never sound attractive at all.. trust me.... i know it.. sigh...

BUT

we are all young *ahem* and mighty full of stamina that overflowing our blood veins and nothing could have stopped us at all... except for the sore body and tired feet from hailing our luggages up and down train stations and super lots of walking... hehehehe... no regrets though.. cos this trip was amazing liddat!!

Back to where this post suppose to be.. it was all about the GOOGLE Ads!!! One thing about me is that I super hearts weird and out of the ordinary stuff.. especially those that it weirdly beautiful... wat a weird combination of adjectives but that is absolutely what i'm talking about....

I'm finally back from Europe... after missing almost a month from this blog.. I am finally BACK!! so many backlogged posts and none ever started as of yet.. just thinking about it makes me feel there's so much to tell.. and i just dun want to abandon them cos these are precious and memorable moments to me that is meant to be commemorated.. just the exact reason and the whole point i started this blog in the first place..

Some of the events that i really wanna start logging down will be from last Christmas and New Year celebration in Tokyo and Nagano, Big Sis's visit to Japan, my virgin voyage to skiing adventure, the month i went back home for CNY and the 'unfortunate' incident as well as my entire 3 weeks trip fleeing to Europe right after the terrible March 11 earthquake in Japan that shocked the entire world...

anyway.. i'm currently suffering from jet lag and it's terrible.. imagine not being able to sleep at the normal hours and yet you still need to wake up and go to class and do normal stuff... it's just frustrating and eating me alive... 3 weeks of living life the opposite hour and now forcing myself to come back to reality is just pure torture.. well that can't be helped and hope time just cures it ASAP!!!

i've also recently discovered the beauty of life :) after the 'incident' and also exposure of the extensive traveling i took early this year.. things changed... I've changed... for the better definitely... i'm no longer the same person and i'm absolutely loving it.. some talks amongst close frens and family of course contributed to the new moi and i cherish these bunch of people so much that words just can't described it... i know it's not my first beginning and it's not gonna be my last... some people found enlightenment in way of life through embracing the Greater One... i found my 'enlightenment' too though in a different manner.. but nonetheless it's equally as amazing feeling one can feel :) I no longer just live life.. i stop and look around.. i smell the flowers and fresh air, i touch the walls and stones.. i step onto the solid earth and ground.. i taste water.. i hear the the nature's music and the list goes on and on... i'm not saying i'm being delusional.. not even close.. i just learned and have grown up... i maybe can't explain myself clearer but this is what i'm feeling right now and in plain... i'm feeling good :)

I'll get started soon on my travelog and other eventful posts soon but right now.. i guess that's what i wanna say... "i finally SEE who i wanna be... i just wanna be happy..."

Greetings from Barcelona, Spain!!! Yes, I am here fleeing from the terrible earthquake that took place in Japan 2 days back... technically, you may call it running away to a safer place.. but ´un-technically´, the location I´ve chosen is way to glamorous to be called a refugee site... LOL... but nonetheless, here i am in Barcelona and hell i´m excited :)

Journey to get here was pretty tiring since there was a long delay that took place in Narita airport resulted from the catastrophe that took place earlier.. many flights were cancelled and the main airport in Japan was closed. I was afraid that I might be stranded just like the rest of the passengers who had to stay overnight in sleeping bags at the airport. Narita Airport was a mess when i touched down from Sapporo yesterday noon. Thank God that my journey so far was smooth enough as much as i have hoped for... OOOoooohhh ohh... except for the part that now our luggage is still back in London while we´re here in Spain.. lol.. but luckily from my past experience of losing my luggage in Greece once... hence, this time i am very well prepared with an emergency supply of a set of clothes and toiletries in my hand carry at all times.. :)

Here, Javier joined us and happily offered to be our tour guide and he has prepared an extensive list of places to bring us around.. tomorrow will be Day 1 in Barcelona with lots to do and see :)

Super duper tired now and gonna head to bed and get ready to explore Barcelona tomorrow morning..

Today marks the lowest temperature for me here in Hokkaido.. MINUS 7 degree Celsius!!! and it has been snowing non stop since last nite.

I went for dinner with the boys last nite and it was real fun... i've learned a lot of words and Japanese phrases and honestly.. they are one of the best Japanese 'teachers' one can get.. nothing beats learning difficult Japanese phrases over massive load of ALCOHOL and FOOD!! hehehe... the liquor does indeed help in washing my shyness away in trying to converse in Japanese.. lol.. kept getting told to "はずかしがらないで。。。"(Don't be shy...) hehehe.. :)

And i also have learned to say one of my favorite quotes of all time in Japanese.. guess which phrase i mostly abused whenever someone took a snapshot of moi??... hehehe "ふとってみえますか？"(Do I look fat??!!)

Sapporo White Illumination~~

It's winter over here in Hokkaido... the month of December brings plenty of whites... one can see white everywhere... the street and cars blanketed with snow and 'cotton puffs' are strewn all over the branches of trees.. One can't help but feel serene and pure over this scenery..

At this time of the month, Sapporo as every year's tradition, will organise the White Illumination event. As taken off the internet.. "This is a big event telling us the coming of beautiful snow season starting in 1981, romantic, artistic collaboration of nature and light after dark in the northern region, usually with the background of the white snow. Trees or objets d’art in Odori or main downtown areas light up the surroundings, making the snow-world even more mysterious and fascinating."

Enough of the whole talking so let's just go straight to the photos.. (some of the pics are still with Lex... these are a few where i've taken off my phone... will update the other photos later instead)

A Scary Experience~~

This morning, i encountered a very strange incident. I suspected I had a moment of seizure. I am not sure what seizure is suppose to be like cos i've never experienced one before. But from what I assumed happened to me, in comparison to the seizure i saw normally on TV... i think i had a moment of fit this morning..

I went to bed at approximately 3.30am last nite and set my alarm to wake up by 7.30am so i can study a lil while for my Reading quiz... everything was as per norm.. i woke up as usual feeling lazy and tired.. the normal act of desire of not wanting to get off the comfort of my futon and etc etc..

After a few minutes of struggle, I finally throw the comforter off me and hunt for my notes spread messily on the floor. I then went to the fridge and poured myself a glass of Diet Coke and set it on the table for awhile. The temperature was about 1 degree this morning, so i took a seat next to the heater to warm myself up while leaning on the window pane as i scrutinized my notes. Up to this moment, everything was still normal.

Soon, couple of minutes passed, and the idea of the glass of coke sitting on the table tempted my taste buds to go for it. I stood up from the window pane and took a couple of steps to grab the drink. Mind you, a typical Japanese apartment is pretty small as the one I'm living in, but it took me approximately 5 steps to reach the table.

Once i reached the table. I bent down to pick up the glass with my left hand, took a small sip and the next thing was.... i felt lightheaded and my right arm reached out to hold the wall to steady my balance... a cloud of blankness appeared upon my eyes and next thing, i was on the floor jerking non stop. I can feel that i wanted to lose total consciousness, however, my left hand was still holding the glass tight, and each jerk was causing the full glass of diet coke to splash onto my wrist... honestly, at one point, i knew i was dirtying the carpet, and i felt really upset about it. But that was just for a split second of my 'half- conscious' state of mind. After what felt like the longest time, the jerks slowed down and i slowly too regained my level of consciousness.

I realised i was lying on the floor on my left side where my left hand still awkwardly clutching the glass tight supported by my elbow... most of the liquid has already been spilled out and made a black patch of puddle on my new carpet. I don't remember what was my right hand doing but during class today, i felt pain on both my elbows. So i don't really know how did i fall onto the ground.

I quickly got up, rushed to the kitchen counter and grabbed a towel and start soaking the coke up.. all in my head was NOT the seizure i just encountered but was the NEED to get RID of the coke and SAVE the carpet!!... As I am writing this down, I honestly don't find it funny at all, not this morning, not now... but i kept thinking why do i reacted this way?!! Why would i think the carpet needed more saving than i do??!! I just had a fit and all i can think and care about was a stupid carpet??!! I am truly disappointed with myself... :(

It shows so much that i need to have some self reflection made...

Anyway, I went to attend class after that and right now, I'm back into my room and feel very much my usual normal self. Nothing seems wrong with me right now.. and i dun feel like going to see the doctor just yet. One of the symptoms taken off the internet stated that provoked seizures might happened due to sleep deprivation. So, I am reassuring myself it might just be that... since i've not been able to sleep well for the past weeks.

I hope this would be the first and the last time i experienced such incident...

I am super duper uber happy today when i finally got around in getting the Christmas 'Mitten' tumbler :) After googling it over in the internet, i found out that this tumbler is available only in Japan.. another item to add into the growing collection.. :) planning to use it tomorrow de but feel a bit sayang~~ wtf..

Even the packaging it came with was so Christmas-y.. hehehe...

It is now the beginning of the very much anticipated Winter Wonderland...

Last week, it started to snow.... the sign of Winter creeping into December.. i woke up to walk to school in the snow and surprisingly.. it was not as cold as i expected it to be.. not sure if my body has adapted to the low temperature or not.. but then.. if the wind is not blowing... i think the winter here is quite bearable.. :)

Okay.. honestly speaking, the locals here say that the merciless winter is not in December/ January.. but the scariest, coldest, and the most cruel winter of all falls in February!!! *bite fingers*　この話は本当かどうか、分かりません。。。多分２月まで待ってから、みたわかる。。。
